Chailey Heritage School

HRH, The Duchess of Gloucester, has been our patron since 2003. Her genuine interest and understanding have encouraged both children and adults alike and we are sincerely grateful to her for giving us this truly valued support.

HRH has made a series of visits to the School, making her first as the School’s new Patron in July 2003 and then again in 2005. In 2006, Her Royal Highness opened the School’s new Primary Department and attended a Service of Thanksgiving in the Chapel. In 2008 she opened the refurbished 16+ Department and was treated to a performance of Swan Lake by some of our young people.

Most recently HRH joined us for our Celebration Day, in July 2009, where she presented the Seymor Obermer Cup “Preparing for the Future” to John Giles. After the ceremony, HRH had the opportunity to meet pupils and parents in the grounds of the School.
