Chailey Heritage School

The school uses the 'Sign-a-long' system of signing. This is a sign supported system designed to help children and adults acquire language skills and to assist where there are communication difficulties. Signing accompanies the spoken word, with key words being signed.  Sign-a-long signing is used throughout the school and training is mandatory for all staff. Five members of school staff are qualified Sign-a-long tutors. Training is also available for parents and carers.
