Friends of Chailey Heritage |
Friends of Chailey Heritage is a registered charity no. 220501 and has supported Chailey Heritage for over fifty years. Its remit is to give financial help to all aspects of Chailey Heritage, including Chailey Heritage School, Chailey Heritage Clinical Services and Chailey Heritage Enterprise Centre (CHEC). The Friends Committee meets regularly to consider any requests for funding which will directly help the children and young people who attend any part of Chailey Heritage. Funds permitting, Friends have given money to building projects, but mainly the grants aim to enhance immediately the lives of the children whilst at Chailey Heritage. Recent grants include: adventure activity days, celebration day, purchase of a mini bus, staff life training, activity resources for young people over 19 age group, IT equipment and network cabling at Clinical Services and assistance with refurbishment of new CHEC offices. ![]()
To celebrate the centenary of Chailey Heritage, the Friends funded the publication of a book 'Chailey Heritage, A Hunderd Years' about the history of Chailey Heritage. This is available at an offer price of £10, available from the Friends Office.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING is on Tuesday 8th June 2010 at 5pm
Our Committee is voluntary and we only have very limited paid administrative help which means we can maximise the use of any funds given to The Friends. We look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to support our work.
