Breakfast chat for parents and carers

Are you a parent or carer of a young person attending Chailey Heritage School or living in our residential bungalows?
 
Join us at Chailey Heritage Foundation over a coffee and croissant for a breakfast chat on Friday 3rd November!
 
We’ll be discussing the transition to adult services and how to plan for your child’s future with our special guests:

10.10 a.m. ‘Supporting your child through the transition process – finding out what should happen, working with services, preparing for needs assessments, and managing change’ – Jenny Turner

Jenny Turner has supported her own child through Chailey Heritage Foundation and into adult services. Jenny understands the system from the parents’ perspective and has built up a wealth of knowledge as to what parents can do to make the transition process a more positive one.

Liz Foster and Catherine French are lead NHS professionals with expertise in NHS Continuing Health Care. In this session, they’ll speak about how the funding and services work for children and young people with complex neurodisabilities.

Paula Marten coordinates the Foundation’s transition to adult services and will explain how the Chailey Heritage Foundation team will support parents and families through these times of change.
